Cly Kullervo: How Combat Jump Rearranges a Fight
The last of Clan Verminoth, her Combat Jump push and Burn, and how moving enemies out of cover changes a turn.

Cly Kullervo is one of the last survivors of the ancient Clan Verminoth. She joins Zero Company for a straightforward reason: revenge.
Her value is not in damage numbers. It is in something few Operators can do at all — moving enemies where she wants them.
Her unique talent
Combat Jump: she uses her jetpack to jump to a target location, pushing enemies out of position and inflicting Burn. Upgrading the talent increases the jump range and the number of Burning stacks.
That is a different answer from “deal damage”. An enemy behind cover drags your hit chance down, and the usual fixes are flanking or flushing them out with explosives. Cly simply moves them — out of cover, off a ledge, or into a hazard.
How to use her in a fight
- Move first, shoot second. Open with Combat Jump, then focus the displaced target with the whole squad. The damage that turn usually beats everyone taking one shot each.
- Treat the landing spot as the weapon. She decides where the enemy ends up, so scan for ledges, explosives and hazards rather than only reading the damage range.
- Upgrade with Burn stacks in mind. Jump range decides which targets you can reach; Burning stacks decide the added damage. Pick according to the enemies you keep meeting.
- Don’t use her as a pure tank. Her job is control and tactical repositioning. Standing at the very front and absorbing fire is a bad trade.
One thing to keep in perspective
A player thread on the official EA forum asks whether Cly is too strong and needs a nerf, which shows her jump combination sits in the middle of balance discussion.
That is player opinion, not an official balance statement. Patch 1.1 did not adjust her — the patch fixed general issues such as combat action processing order and Overwatch triggering.
