Kabb Uppercut: The Melee Talent That Refunds Its AP
The Felshi brawler's background, the Uppercut knockback and its action point refund, and how to chain softening into a kill.

Kabb Uppercut’s full name is Kabbney “Kabb” Uppercut. A career criminal with an army background, he used to fight for prize money.
EA’s description is specific: a burly Felshi known for a cybernetic arm, his namesake knockout punch and a distinctive rhyming dialect. The Felshi are a species created for STAR WARS Zero Company.
His unique talent
Uppercut: a knockback melee attack against enemies. If it kills the target, the action point it cost is refunded. Upgrading the talent improves the damage and the knockback range.
That short sentence has an outsized effect: it turns a front-line finish from “spend a whole turn” into “free action”. Under a three-AP rule, that is the difference between one thing happening in a turn and two.
How to use him in a fight
- Let someone else soften the target. The refund only triggers on a kill, so the correct order is: other Operators bring the enemy down to what he can remove, then he swings.
- Use him on front-line stragglers. The knockback itself pushes enemies away from you, so it clears space and protects the back line at the same time.
- Upgrade depending on what you need. Damage decides whether you finish, knockback range decides whether the aftermath is safe. Pick by the squad’s problem.
- Don’t send him at a distant rooftop. His value is close-quarters brawling and finishing. Long-range targets belong to a marksman.
Patch history
1.1 fixed two presentation issues tied to him: his firing animation when using the M-32, and his animations during conversations.
So if those are still wrong, you are not on 1.1 yet.
To make the soften-then-finish chain work, see best Operators. For the Cross Training unlock conditions, see the Bond system.
