Jae Mordant: Final Shot and the Clean-Up Turn You Don't Spend
Luunata's Ore-Baroness and how she joined Zero Company, the Final Shot auto-finish, and what it does to action point economy.

Jae Mordant was born into the noble House Mordant of Shu-Torun, left the planet, and built her own mining citadel on Luunata, ruling there as its Ore-Baroness.
After Fathom and the Infinite Coil took Luunata for the Separatists, she was instrumental in convincing the Republic to hire Zero Company, and her goal is to take the planet back. Her talent solves a very specific problem: how to remove a nearly dead enemy without paying a turn for it.
Her unique talent
Final Shot: she automatically assists against and eliminates low-health targets. Upgrading the talent raises the damage threshold required to trigger it and the number of Final Shots she can take per turn.
Why this is an action point advantage
Every Operator gets three action points per turn. Spending an Operator’s entire turn to finish something sitting on a sliver of health means trading three AP for a point of damage.
In a resource-tight fight that is a bad deal. Final Shot turns the clean-up into a side effect, which frees that Operator’s turn for the actual objective.
How to use her in a fight
- Damage first, let her finish. Order matters. Someone else has to bring the target low before the auto-finish can trigger.
- Upgrade the threshold first. A higher threshold widens what she can cover, taking her from “clears basic troops” to “closes out elites”.
- Partner her with multi-target damage. Anything that knocks several enemies into low health at once — multi-target attacks, explosives — manufactures trigger opportunities for her.
- Remember the 1.1 fix. The patch corrected combat action processing order, which improved how reliably auto-triggered effects resolve. That is directly relevant to her mechanic.
What kind of squad she suits
A tempo squad that lays down damage first and cleans up second: point kills go to Luco, group damage goes to a multi-target specialization, and she sweeps the leftovers.
