Luco Bronc: The Umbaran Sniper Who Gets More Accurate
The Umbaran marksman's background, how Sharpened Senses stacks accuracy, and why hit chance is the stat that decides turns.

Luco Bronc is an Umbaran sniper who defended his homeworld when the Republic invaded.
He has no love for the Republic that defeated and occupied Umbara, but he is willing to set that aside to work with Zero Company. The reason to field him is simple: he gets more accurate every turn he fires.
His unique talent
Combat Gas (the official talent name): he gains Sharpened Senses stacks that raise his percentage chance to hit. Upgrading the talent increases how many stacks he gains.
Why hit chance deserves its own section
In a turn-based tactics game, hit chance decides a turn more directly than damage does. High damage that misses is zero damage.
Luco’s growth goes straight at that probability, so his curve looks different from everyone else’s: unremarkable on turn one, possibly the most reliable shot in the squad by turn five.
How to use him in a fight
- Give him height and keep him firing. Sharpened Senses accumulates through shots. A turn where he does nothing is a turn of lost progress.
- Pair him with someone who opens sight lines. What kills a sniper is blocked line of sight, not distance. An Operator who can shove enemies into the open or clear a firing lane is worth the most to him (the repositioning Cly Kullervo is the obvious partner).
- Save high-value targets for him. Once the stacks are up, spending them on commanders, turrets or high-health elites beats clearing basic troops.
- Don’t expect him to save a bad opening. He has no stacks on turn one. If you need damage immediately, someone else should be taking that shot.
The story angle
His scenes with Trick have been clipped and shared by players on their own, which says the relationships themselves are something players track. To build that relationship in-game and collect the Cross Training, read the Bond system.
